During his time at Princeton University, Zach served as class president for all four years and served with several civic engagement organizations while also traveling to Central America, the Balkans and Southeast Asia to study conflict resolution with the Office of Religious Life.  In 2013, Zach commissioned into the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant in the Logistics Corps with the 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.  Last year, Zach deployed to Iraq where he led the logistics advise and assist effort for Iraqi forces fighting to liberate Mosul.  Zach will leave active duty this Fall and begin his master’s studies in conflict, security and development at King’s College London.  After his postgraduate studies, Zach hopes to join the United States foreign service or pursue a career in international law.  An avid traveler, reader, and talker, Zach can’t wait to explore London and as much of Europe as he can in his studies next year.
