Denise Current of the Newton Rotary Club has been selected to receive the Vocational Service Award at the New Jersey Rotary Vocational Assembly on Wednesday, October 5th at The Pines Manor, Edison, N.J.
 
The owner of Stocker Bus Company, Inc., and Current Adventure, a commercial bus business, Denise has been involved in many facets of Rotary including, Youth Exchange, Group Study Exchange, Oktoberfest and providing a home for Rotary Exchange students.
 
 
 
 
 
 
In nominating Denise, her club said,” The membership of Newton Rotary clearly believes that Denise exemplifies, in a superlative, a Rotarian using her vocation to provide service to the local and international communities” Denise has donated retired busses to various charities in Mexico and the Caribbean. She has even delivered the bus personally by driving the 2,582 miles to Mexico with a team from her company. Her actions inspire all the members of her club when it comes to vocational service.
 
The award will be presented at the 36th Annual New Jersey Vocational Assembly where past R.I. President Rick King will be the featured dinner speaker and Investors Bank President & CEO Kevin Cummings will be the vocational speaker at 4p.m. Doors open at 3 p.m. and tickets are available for $55 per person through DGN Peggy Mader. Peggy also is selling ads for the program.
 
Good participation from Rotarians in District 7470 would be a great way to thank Denise Current for her many contributions to the community, the district and the international community.
