Thank you to over 600 volunteers, 40 sponsors (list below), Rotary District 7470 and 24 Rotary Clubs who participated in packaging 158,112 meals that were distribute to needy families living in northern New Jersey.  Despite a last minute program change from Saturday, March 10th to Sunday, March 11th due to the truck breakdown and delayed food delivery we were able to package this amazing number of meals.  We lost some volunteers due to scheduling conflicts but secure others who were available.  The District program organized by the Madison Rotary Club Foundation is the largest Rotary food packaging program in the country.  Ellsworth Havens, program chair, said "we are grateful to have such a supportive community and sponsors to make a program like this happen.  Hunger is a very real problem for many people in our community and we are dedicated to making a difference."  As we conclude the 2018 End Hunger 3.6 program we are already thinking about how to have a greater impact in 2019.
